I was really nervous because we presented our Pecha Kucha on "Our perceptions about some of the tools we have been working with".
It was no mean task, as I said in my later post, preparing a Pecha Kucha takes time because you have to take many things into account - the text, images, intonation, etc..
But I think we did a really good job! Lol (I'm in love with some of the images and their descriptions )
Some of the ones I'm really proud of are:
Edmodo
Yes, Edmodo tries to be Facebook, that's our theory. But, there you post assignments, boring stuff!
Glogster
Posters on the walls are now old-fashioned! Glogster is the one...
Voki
It's not what you say but how you say it.
That's why we think Voki can turn boring audios into funny messages.
Wordle
Wordle has only one function... but a powerful one. And it can be very easily applied to the classroom!
Google Docs
Our best companion this year, Google Docs. And because of that, the best web 2.0 tool you'll ever find!
Pecha Kucha
Last but not least, Pecha Kucha! One of the many challenges of this fourth and last year.... It did become the reason of our nightmares, but we were positive about it, after all, it only lasts for 6' and 40''.
OK, so now that you are more or less acquainted with what I'm talking about... I'm also proud to say that the best that we shared (apart from these images) was our willingness to work and eagerness to learn.
Letizia, the pleasure is all mine.
Thanks for being the great teacher you are.
Great post Fah! I really enjoyed the lesson. Thanks Letizia!!! :D
ReplyDeleteTrue, the lesson was really enjoyable... because all the Pecha Kuchas were absolutely awesome!! :)
DeleteCarefully designed, powerful images + creative, well-written, witty text + meaningful, natural intonation = IMPRESSIVE PECHA KUCHAS!!!
